Alzheimer Scotland is pushing forward with special sessions in Thurso for those living with memory loss in Caithness and their carers.
A Memory Lane Café will be held every second Tuesday of the month at the Rugby Club on Millbank Road in Thurso. This is for anyone with memory loss or dementia or carers who can come and have a cup of tea and a chat with others in a similar situation.
Dementia advisor Isobel Stevenson said: “Those attending get any support or advice they may need from me while they are there.”
The next April session is on Tuesday the 23rd and runs for two hours starting at 2pm.
Isobel also wishes to highlight the Dementia Friends sessions she is involved with. “So this is an hour talk about dementia which is free of charge and is aimed at making Caithness a more dementia-friendly and inclusive community.
“It is open to anyone who wants to come along and I can do talks to companies, charities, businesses or just anyone who may encounter someone with dementia in the community.”
